Wanted broadside (5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches) issued by George Wittman, Chief of Police of San Francisco, June 24th, 1904 for Fred J. Wood, alias Fred Ward, alias E.G. Frink, alias R. C. Swink, wanted on two charges of Grand Larceny. Slight discoloration, pencil mark lower left of pictures. Otherwise very good condition. Wood is accused of a "Half interest swindler" . G. N. McKay of the Winchester Hotel said Wood induced him into an investment of $400 in the Golden Gate Distributing Co., of which Wood had no association, so McKay pressed charges. Wood, however, had left the city, according to the newspaper. While the wanted poster states Wood was his name, I think (fh) that is was yet another alias, as there was a schooner named "Fred J. Wood", and it is very probable that the crook took this name.
