Louis Victor Eytinge shocked the city of Phoenix by murdering his roommate John Leicht just two weeks after being released from the Ohio Penitentiary. This broadside issued by Sheriff of Maricopa County Carl Hayden offers $1000.00 Reward. Eytinge would be captured in San Francisco and Sheriff Hayden would bring him back to Arizona to serve a life sentence from 1907 to 1922. While incarcerated he developed groundbreaking communication and motivational skills that led to his fame and freedom. He made the most of his time doing business pursuits: editing "Postage: The Magazine of Direct Mail Advertising and business Correspondence." He became known as "The Man Who Come Back," and was paroled December 1922. Included with the wanted poster is an article from Autumn, 1990 in The Journal of Arizona History by James R. Kearney about his notorious career. The poster is 8 x 13 inches, and penciled at the bottom is "Captured." Phoenix Arizona
