Two pristine 8.5" x 11" wanted posters boasting $50 rewards, one for a missing man and the other for a 1917 version of a scam artist, both from the Fresno Area. The man who went missing was Edward B. Heffernan, whose photo and signature, as well as a detailed description, are on this Stockton, CA, circular. Heffernan had been missing from his Fresno, CA, home since May 21, 1917. The poor soul was described down to his false teeth. The other poster is offering a reward for information and arrest of a G.L. Andrews, alias G.L. Graves, J.G. Kingsley or C.H. Adams, for covering the country representing himself as an agent of the American Woolen Mills Company of NYC, bearing samples and much knowledge of clothing, taking good folks' orders, their cash and then disappearing. Madera, CA, poster is dated Dec. 9, 1919.
