The Warren Farm Industrial School in Woodingdean, England began hand-digging a well on March 25, 1858. They finally hit water at 1,285 feet (390 meters) after digging for four years. The charming commemorative token reads WARREN FARM WELL / WATER / FOUND / MAR. 16. 1862 / DEPTH / 1285 FT. / BRIGHTON on the obverse and BY THE BLESSING OF GOD / ON / HARD WORK / PATIENCE AND / PERSEVERANCE.
