Lot of 4 different. 1) Grays Harbor Company. No. 143, issued for 5 shares to Geo. M. Lyon on May 27th, 1890. Signed by president Chester A. Congdon and secretary James Gilbert. Not cancelled. Green border, gold seal, black print and vignette of ship. Pinholes, folds. According to an ad for the company in The Seattle Post-intelligencer (April 1st, 1890), the company was selling townsite lots and constructing a railroad at Grays Harbor, Washington that would connect with the Northern Pacific. 2) Fort Spokane Mining Company. No. A74, issued for 5,000 shares to GB Desmond on Oct. 30th, 1897. Signed by president Geo. Beck and the secretary. Not cancelled. Black border, green background, black print, silver seal, and vignette of mine/mill. Folds with tape repairs, toning. 3& 4) First Thought Gold Mines, Ltd. Two stocks, issued in 1925 and 1927. "The First Thought camp is located at an elevation of 2,900 feet on the southeastern slope of the mountain, just 3 1/2 miles in an air line northeast of Orient, the nearest railroad station. Supplies are brought from Orient over a fair wagon road, the haul of about 31/2 miles involving a rise of some 600 feet between the town and the camp. Water and timber are plentiful in the vicinity."
