"Town for Sale". Washoe City was the county seat of Washoe County. And then the railroad arrived in Reno and within two years almost all of the businesses had moved and Reno became the county seat. Includes the reprint of an 1871 article. Includes a letter on Clarke letterhead. Imprinted cc on the cover is for George H Clarke / Nevada / Washoe City with fancy scroll work.
