Incorporated in 1860 for mining, building mills and creating Washoe City when this area was still within the Utah Territory. . #32 for 20 shares. In the 'Shares' box it says 500 each. To Charles Hosmer. Datelined January 11, 1862. Printed as Carson City, N. T. Incorporated December 31, 1861. Signed by S. M. Bliss secretary and John C. Fall president. Mines located in Washoe Mining District, Carson County, Nevada Territory. Carson County is left over from Utah Territory days. Once Nevada Territory was created it took a little time for them to create their own counties. This is a very early and very rare Nevada Territorial Certificate focusing on town creation and mills to support the Comstock! All three names on this certificate arrived on the Comstock when it was still part of the Utah Territory. Charles Hosmer was there by September 29, 1860. Simeon Bliss was there by June 18, 1860. Fall arrived about February of 1860. He had a store and bank in Carson City. He would move to Unionville and was owner and superintendent of the Arizona - Unionville's only major successful mine in the 1870's. Fall and Bliss were involved in the survey of Truckee City (which would have been where Huffaker's Ranch was.) Description of a forgotten Truckee City included! Also notes on Hosmer, Bliss and Fall. Two pages of notes on Washoe City and the company. Seven pages of notes all together. [ Washoe City, Carson County Nevada Joe Elcano Nevada Mining Stock Collection
