Watermelon Kachina by Alvin Navasie Sr. 14.5"h x 5" w x 4.5" d. Unfortunately the piece has been broken and repaired. Price reflects damage. Signed on the bottom by Navasie. His carvings are very well recognized for their detail and workmanship. Alvin is featured in Theda Bassman's book, ''Hopi Kachina Dolls and Their Carvers'' on pages 104-107, as well as being featured in other books. Alvin has been carving since the mid 1980's.
