This is a bank note from Wells, Fargo & Co. from Columbia, Cal., dated Oct. 14, 1857. One of the richest gold mining towns in California; Columbia would become California's first state park in 1945. It was the filming site for the 1952 movie High Noon filmed on Main St. The note is 5 in. X 7.5 in. with one small hole left side and a fold in the upper right corner. Very good readable condition.
