Auction Details

Welcome to our May 2021 Auction, the "Western Americana Signature Sale!"

We were wonderfully astounded to have about 7500 registered bidders in the last sale, which had about $1 million in collectibles of all sorts. We set a new company record with over 715 separate buyers. Now, we have the chance to do it again, with another amazing offering of fresh material from dozens of collections from across America!

This sale has many, many highlights, including:

*Gold nuggets and high grade gold specimens- from two major collections, some of the best high grade gold specimens we’ve had in years from the William Mayrsohn Collection, a long time mining executive.

*Mining artifacts, historical items- we’ve got the whole gamut of material, inclusive of some of the best and rarest of their kinds

*Rare books and references- Fremont to a detailed, multi-volume set of Oxford dictionary

*Custom made copper cannon from Michigan’s Copper Range

*Numismatics- medals, tokens galore from major collections, including Ron Lerch.

*Rare Ingots- Silver c1874 ingot from Bristol, NV; ingots from the Mayrsohn Collection

*Ken Prag Collections:
--Autograph collection: eleven different Thomas Edison stocks; signers of the Declaration; famous financial figures (JP Morgan, Jay Gould, Rockefeller); Houdini, and more.
--American Express Collection: a once-in-a-lifetime offering of numerous pieces spanning the history of the company, and including what we believe is the earliest American Express Stock ever offered at auction!
--Early American stocks- American turnpikes, plank roads and banks, including a great collection of Robert Morris material
          --Republic of Texas document collections

*Historical breast badges and ribbons

*Historical photographs: Deadwood, Dodge City, Leadville, Eastern Nevada and more

*Fire Dept Bell from Silver City, Nevada

*Gaming collectibles

*Native Americana- wonderful historical material- much from the historic Miles family of Ely- including important historical photos of White River petroglyphs, c1920; the research library of the Ely Cosmological Society c1920, much inscribed by key Pittman. Great selection of turquoise jewelry. The overall variety and quality is astounding, and you won’t want to miss it.

Previews welcome, by appointment. Questions welcome over the phone or via email.

And don't forget, your collection could be here! We want quality collections!
