This is a well made Western Field .22 cal. tube fed Antique bolt action rifle. The Western Fields were trade-name guns that were usually produced by Marlin or Remington for large store outlets such as Sear & Roebucks. Excellent target rifle for young shooters or experienced .22 cal. target shooters This particular rifle has an adjustable buck-horn rear sight and an ivory bead front sight. It is a take-down model and fires modern .22 cal. long rifle ammunition. "Condition": excellent bluing on the barrel, tube and receiver. It has nice case hardening on the knurled bolt and trigger, and has a steel butt-plate with nice wood attributes, semi-pistol grip with grooved front fore-stock. Excellent for shooter and collector of .22 cal. rifles. c 1940-1950's.
