There are 24 pieces from forts: Laramie, Wyo., Stanbaugh, Wyo., McKinney Wyo., Missoula, Mont., Union N.M. From Fort Laramie is a .45-70 center-fire primed case, a .50-70 Benet primed (pre-1886) case, a leather stop fastener, a scabbard tip, two metal shoulder epaulets, two uniform eagle buttons, a flattened .45 cal. bullet, a retrieved .45 cal. bullet, two unidentified metal parts, a .50 cal. Benet primed case, a .45 cal. Martin primed case, a .45 cal. slug retrieved and bent, two buckles, three leather guides, two buckles marked "US", and one eagle leather medallion. All pieces are 1870s-1880's based on bullet technology. Please see photos for details.
