J Bohmfalk Douglas, Arizona makers mark, 12" seat, low rise 2" cantel, narrow fork, double rigging, floral pattern. Sheeping in good cond, leather wrapped stirrups. Fenders have been replaced, missing one rear tie-down.
Bohmfalk comes from a long line of Bisbee families and western lawmen. One of the men was Constable in Bisbee in the 1920s. Dell Bohmfalk was Sheriff in Douglas in the 1970s. Our man here, probably John, didn't advertise in local newspapers, circa 1970s.
In an article that quoted Gerry Bohmfalk, the family owned Marlin's Saddle Shop in Douglas since about 1950. That shop permanently closed in 2017.
This is thus a classic Arizona cowboy collectible.
