When Anaheim was 21 by Leo J. Friss was published by Pioneer Press in 1968. It is an account of what Anaheim, California was like in 1878. The author's main source was an Anaheim city directory from 1878. This book discusses the local officials, schools, and businesses of the time period. It also has a chapter dedicated to Anaheim's reputation as a health resort. The middle of the book contains photographs of several people and buildings that were important in Anaheim in the late 1870's. The title page is autographed, "To Miss E. Katie Rae, with best wishes, Leo Friss, May 24, 1968. 8.5 x 5.5, good condition.
