It is for the first quarter 1870, at the hight of the first part of the White Pine Rush, before any consolidation took place. There are 59 different mine entries! Of these, only 24 are listed in Couch & Carpenter. $4,024 in tax was paid for the quarter on $310,003 in revenue. The average value of milled ore was $32.51, equivalent to 1.5 oz/ton gold, or about 32 oz/t silver! That is high grade ore !
