Lot of two: obv.: Penn / (portrait) / 1682; rev.: Distributed by Employees of the U.S. Mint During the Celebration / Of Pennsylvania's Bicentennial / Oct. 24, 1882. Br., rd., 25 mm. 75,000 of these medals were originally struck in brass for distribution during the parade of October 24, 1882. There was a wagon drawn by six horses, carrying a steam press, from which newly-struck medals were thrown to the crowds.
