Warren Williams bought the Mike Fallon Ranch, platted the town, had it named the county seat, brought in the railroad, had a large sheep ranch across the entire state, mined, and had a store that serviced the entire area. This ledger lists customers like John Etcheverry what they bought on what days. Many other Basques are also mentioned. Others include John Sparks (future Governor), Joe Mendiola, Johnnie Dick Indian, Francisco Yrribarren, etc. Sales for goods are listed by day. Also sheep shearing reports from Argenta (on the Southern Pacific Railroad). Williams must also have collected the poll tax to vote for the county as many paid him. He also sold railroad tickets from Fallon to points all points West. Cover has issues and corners are mangled. Pages and content are in excellent condition. State: Nevada City: Fallon, Churchill Date:
