Williams & Kellinger Mining Company, incorporated , April 28, 1863 in Pitsburg Disrict, Shasta Mountain, printed by H. S. Crocker & Co. in Sacramento.
The certificate no. 771 to 780 are issued to T. G. Elliot for 10 shares (at $50 each) in Red Bluffs, California on June 15, 1863. Signed by L. A. Kelly as secretary and T.G. Elliot as president.
Cancelled on Aug 3, 1863 by T. G. Elliot.

The mine is located on or near Pit River, north of Redding, according to E.G Gudde, an early placer camp was placed, but silver deposits were only found later.

The Red Bluff Independent Newspaper, Vol IV, no. 53 from February 1864, describes a large quantity of rock being pulled out of this mine, crushed and sent to San Francisco. It says, they got a huge advance of $71/ton for metal bearing ore. The article states that not only rich gold ore was found but also allot silver bearing quartz, which they kept at the mine at the time, and allot of copper ore, that was meant to be processed within the following 3 months ( 1000 tons). By 1880, the silver production was larger than the gold production and up to 1924 it became known for its copper production.

This is an early and rare example of company stocks for mining on the Williams & Kellinger Ledge.
