Certificate #6387 from the Wilshire Bishop Creek Company issued in 1910 for 200 shares to Arthur Ogden. Signed by the company officers (illegal). Inc. in Arizona. The company operated the Bishop Creek Gold mine located on the headwaters of Bishop Creek, 18 miles west of Bishop, Cal. The mine was located at 8,500 feet and there was a good wagon road to the mine. The mine was a small producer, but shut down in 1915 as it could not operate profitably. A new company was formed to double the mill capacity, believing the company could then operate at a profit. The mine itself, was owned by the Rocky Point Consolidated Mines Company, run by Gaylord Wilshire (1916, Mines and Mineral Resources of Alpine, Inyo and Mono County, C.S.M.B.). Small size certificate. Extra folds and some browning at top edge. Uncancelled. Date 1910 Bishop Creek, CA hwac 8712
