Lot of 2. Great pictorial corner ad cover, 1901, for JW Hugus & Co., General Merchandise, Rawlins, Wyoming. Cover advertises Winchester firearms and has a vignette of a rifle and mountain man. Comes with a billhead for Hugus, to R. McIntosh of Slater, Colorado. JW Hugus was a post trader at Fort Steele before partnering in 1880 with John C. Davis to form JW Hugus & Co. in Rawlins. They also had an Indian trader post at Meeker, Colorado. They eventually expanded to over 20 stores in Wyoming and Colorado. McIntosh was a ranching and mining figure in Colorado.
