Black ornate border and print, great vignette of early automobile. Folds, light wear. 8.5 x 11" According to an ad for the company in Carette: America's First Carette and Cyclecar, Volume 2 (1914), the company had offices in Chicago but their plant was in Harvey. They called themselves "a thoroughly standardized motor car." "Luxurious tandem seats--big enough for two adults and two children, comfortably seated. It is the ideal family car." A typical 1914 Woods Mobilette was equipped with a four cylinder 12 horsepower water cooled engine. The transmission was a sliding gear type with two speeds forward and a reverse.
