A nice pair of Woodworth Mill checks with RN-D signed by Bonanza Kings John Mackay and James G. Fair. The Woodworth was located on the NW bank of the Carson River a mile above Dayton [Ref: Ansari]. 1) Check No. 1140 issued for $6 to the D.V.& C Toll Road Co. on Dec. 6th, 1873. Signed by Mackay. Cut cancel with folds and light soiling on reverse. 2) No. 126 issued for $342.69 to the Fulton Foundry on Oct. 7, 1874. Signed by Fair. Punch cancel thru Fair's signature, cut cancel and toning on reverse.
