A pair of Woodworth Mill checks, one signed by John Mackay and the other by James G. Fair. They are perhaps the two most well-known names from the Comstock and represented half of the "Bonanza Firm" that discovered the "Big Bonanza" in 1873. Both checks have RN-D and were issued in 1874. Both signatures were punch-cancelled. Checks also have cut cancels, but are clean. (Prag Collection)
