Used at KSO radio in Des Moines Iowa. Given to the consignor by Gale Myers in the 1980s. Gale worked at KSO radio in Des Moines from the 1940s into the 1990s. KSO was Iowa's first AM radio station, beginning in 1925 at Clarance and moving to Des Moines November 5, 1932. It was a part of the Blue Network of NBC and broadcast from 6:30 a.m. until midnight. Their slogan was "Keep Serving Others." Gale Myers began working for the station in 1942, and was mentioned in a press release in 1964 as having been on the staff for 22 years. This microphone can be seen in a photo Friday Teen Night, a promotion in the 50s where a DJ opened the studio to a group of teens from 10:30 until midnight. State: City: HWAC#: 47444 Date:
