Fancy geometric designed Wurlitzer model 42 made in 1942. Fancy wood-carved front with rolling carved legs and five original reverse glass painted panels. Overall size 28”, deep 42”, 66” tall. Coin slot in the front in-operative. The machine has been restored to working order and plays beautifully. This Wurlitzer is another show piece. It plays and displays beautifully with the lighted panels and 24 record changer. The Wurlitzer was invented by the Wurlitzer family of Saxony, musical instrument manufacturers since the 1600’s. In 1896 they created the first electrical coin-op piano, and in 1933 came up with the coin-op electrical phonograph. This model is considered by many of the advanced collectors as the key piece in the Wurlitzer suite of coin-op electrical phonographs. We have videos of the two Wurlitzers available on our web site, fhwac.com This piece came from a prominent Southern California Collection. City: State: Date: HWAC# 75216
