Burns, Walter Noble. Tombstone, An Illiad of the Southwest. Grosset & Dunlap, 1929, 388 page, draws its many stories from the archives of the Tombstone Epitaph and Nugget newspapers, and the Tucson Star newspaper. It includes a narrative of the Earp-Clanton feud that ended in the famous shootout at the OK Corral which is based on witness testimony from the subsequent trial. The author also draws from manuscripts and other documents to chronicle the founding of the Town to Tough to Die.
