Yellow Jacket certificates are common, but Territorial issued certificates RARE. Signed by president Charles Bonner - famed superintendent of the Gould & Curry and Savage. Includes a telegraph authorizing J. B. Winters, superintendent, to sell one share for $1,000. # 430 for three shares to Donohoe, Ralston (as in William Ralston) & Company Bank. Dateline Gold Hill 1864. Incorporated February 17, 1863. 25c Power of Att'y revenue stamp. Naked Native American riding a horse vignette. Britton and Company printer. Left side shows staining from original telegraph attached to rear. Pen and cut cancelled. Donohoe, Ralston was an early San Francisco banking company. Established in 1861, William C Ralston before he began his own bank in 1865 - The Bank of California. Shortly after this stock was issued, Ralston gained controlling interest in the Yellow Jacket! The Yellow Jacket would go on to be one of the top seven producers on the Comstock. Incorporated on February 17th, the February 13th of that year Sacramento Daily Union reported that "They struck it fearfully rich in the Yellow Jacket claim in Gold Hill yesterday."
