Lot of 5. 1) 1899. Pay to AB Forbes $224.29, red 2 cent adhesive stamp. Signed by Hume Yerington. 2) 1892. Pay to Self $200. Signed by Mrs. H.M. Yerington. 3) 1897. Pay to Miss Avery Yerington $75. 4) Two 1893 checks singed by J.A. Yerington as chairman for the Nevada State Board, Nevada Fair Commissioners. One is made out to the Virginia & Truckee Railroad. The other is made out to himself. The Yeringtons, especially H.M. Yerington (the father) were a very important Nevada family. H.M. was involved with the Merrimac Mill, an early Comstock Mill on the Carson River. He also drove the first and the last spikes of the Virginia & Truckee Railroad.
