#153 for 10 shares issued to B. Levison on April 16, 1864 in Virginia N. T. Signed by president William M. Long and secretary Chas. B. Hammond. Incorporated January 14, 1863. Two vignettes. One is a circular ore vignette of gold $700 a ton and silver $1,000 a ton. Located in Gold Hill Mining District, Storey County, N. T. is printed on the cert. Also an eagle with eaglets vignette. Colorful black on pink. Towne & Bacon printers. Shows very little aging! One year after incorporation, it was slated to be sold for taxes. It seems to have been bought, but a year after that the company was again delinquent on taxes. B. Levison had a shop that sold books, stationary, cigars, tobacco, fancy goods, etc. It was located across from Flood & Company, bankers. Copies of ads for Levison from Gold Hill News and notes on mine from Gold Hill News.
