Lot of three Taber photographs mounted on heavy cardstock. 1) No. 5157. Upper Yosemite Fall, A.D. 1890. Taber Photo, San Francisco, Cal. Measures 10" x 8" with low contrast and some soiling. 2) No. B 725. Agassiz Column, near Union Point. (View of man next to rock tower). Card is bowed. Contrast low to medium. 8.5"x 5.25" 3) No. B 411. El Capitan, 3,300 feet, Yosemite, Ca. Medium contrast. 3/4" tear upper left edge. Also 8.5" x 5.25" I.W. Taber (1830-1912) opened his first studio in San Francisco in 1871 and reproduced many of the photographs of Carleton Watkins, without credit. His studio was destroyed in the 1906 earthquake.
