Lot of seven Yosemite scenery stereoviews by Carlton Watkins. 1) Two are from Watkins' Pacific Coast, 22 & 26 Montgomery St., San Francisco, and therefore c.1874: 1069--The Lower Yosemite Fall and 1084--Yowiye, or the Nevada Fall, and Mt Broderick. 2) One is copyright 1867 and shows Yosemite Falls in the background (poor contrast) and the roof of a cabin in the foreground. 3) One is from his Pacific Coast Views series: 3066--The Three Brothers. 4) Lastly are three early (1860s?) stereocards that are identified as Watkins by period pen notations: The Three Brothers, Up the Valley, and Sentinel. Contrast is low and there is soiling. (Prag Collection) Date: Location: Yosemite, California HWAC # 50677
