The Yosemite Valley Railroad was a short-line railroad operating from 1907 to 1945 in California, mostly following the Merced River from Merced to Yosemite National Park, carrying a mixture of passenger and freight traffic. Ran 80 miles: 30 miles from Merced to mouth of Merced Canyon, then 50 miles to El Portal. At El Portal, passengers would then take a stagecoach (and later a motor coach) to Yosemite Valley. Serviced mining, timber, and commercial passengers. Ended service in 1945.
Heavily folded.
