A bond from the County of Yuba, Yuba Railroad Company, c1866. Four vignettes, one railroad, $1,000, many county treasurer hand cancelation stamps, c1872, 29 coupons attached, signed by county clerk, chairman Board of Supervisors, county auditor, county treasurer. This company was organized in 1862 with the purpose of constructing a railroad from Lincoln, Placer County, to Marysville, Yuba County, as an extension of the California Central Railroad. Its first president was Samuel Brannan. In 1866, FM Pixley was the new president, and 17.5 of 24.5 miles were completed.
