This company was organized in 1862 with the purpose of constructing a railroad from Lincoln, Placer County, to Marysville, Yuba County, as an extension of the California Central Railroad. Its first president was Samuel Brannan. In 1866, FM Pixley was the new president, and 17.5 of 24.5 miles were completed.
