Gorgeous and rare. Incorporated in Illinois in 1886. No. 1457, issued for 10 shares to DR. RH King on July 15th, 1889. Signed by the president (illegible) and secretary HC Gerke Jr. Not cancelled. Green Border, pink background, green embossed seal, and three vignettes: stag (upper left), mine and mills in desert (center), and miners working underground (upper right). No printer listed. 14.5 x 11 inches. Deep folds. According to a Dec. 1887 article in the Arizona Daily Star, the company owned a group of mines in the Harcuvar Mountains of NE Yuma County. Alfred Berkeley is the general manager. They are preparing to erect reduction works. "The ledges are wide and run high in copper and average 40 ounces of silver per ton."
