Zeb Kendall,(1875-1954) one of Nevada's last Bonanza Kings, took his fortune from the Mizpah Mine in Tonopah at the beginning of the 20th century. A former Nevada State Senator, Kendall became head of the Consolidated-Virginia mine on the Comstock Lode in 1919. He held a seat on the San Francisco Mining Exchange and also headed the Mexican Gold and Silver Mining Company and the Ophir Mining Company. This 1913 stock certificate from the Willow Creek Mining Company is both issued to and signed by Zeb Kendall, for 40,000 shares. Certificate number 21.
