Absolutely jaw-dropping magnificent Zuni bolo by Danny Young, signed on reverse, with custom silver work by Savage, circa 1975. 4 x 4". This is unquestionably one of the finest Zuni bolo artisan pieces of it's time. Mr. Young has brilliantly used four different stones in both an inlay and overlay manner with carved stone accoutrements and carved human face, possibly from Leekya rock (turquoise from the Leekya family mine). The silver work carefully matches in three dimensions the feather work of the chief's headdress. Frank Lewton purchased this piece and other major bolo pieces in the 1970s. 203 grams, net weight.
