A great example of Zuni workmanship is featured in this exquisite necklace and earring set consisting of 135 petite point cut pieces of turquoise in the necklace alone, the turquoise appears to be that of which was produced at the Lone Mountain Mine near Tonopah in Nevada, the mine which was discovered in the early 1920ís by Lee Hand was known for producing good to high grade turquoise in a variety of colors, originally this mine was called the Blue Jay Mine of Lone Mountain and later simply transitioned to become the Lone Mountain Mine, the necklace measures at about 8î top to bottom not including chain which adds about 5î, the medallion at the bottom measures at 3î in diameter, the earrings are 2 ºî long, and all silver work is sterling, the piece has what appears to be very faint script style signature at the center of the medallion on the backside.
