Welcome, collectors, to a new year of exciting auctions!

Our 2023 New Year's resolution is to continue to bring fantastic history at auction to collectors, dealers, and institutions around the world. And we hope you have resolved to keep building your collections and/or dealer inventories!

As a big thank you for an incredible 2022 year of auctions, we've created a special "auto-pilot" auction with reduced start prices and a whole bunch of great material for our beginning to intermediate collectors and/or Americana dealers.

You'll find a mix of new and old items, including new philatelic goodies from the Bracken Collection and Prag Collection, and new collections of books and historical resources. You'll also find tons of Americana including Montana and Colorado paper and check archives from the Stuart MacKenzie Collection and Bracken Collection.

This is an "auto-pilot" auction, so there won't be an auctioneer or audio/video feed. But you will be able to log into an auction console, place live bids, and watch the progression of the auction, just like in our other sales.

If you have any questions or need help placing an absentee bid, please call our office at 775-851-1859

Everyone at Holabird's wishes you a safe and Happy New Year!

And stay tuned because many more exciting items are coming to the collecting market in 2023!

--The Holabird Team--

So how does our auto-pilot auction work?

*Just like normal, you can start bidding absentee right now on iCollector. We can also help you register and place absentee bids for you. Give our office a call at 775-851-1859.

*On the day of the auction (January 7th and 8th), you'll be able to join the live auction console, place bids, and watch the lots progress. (But there won't be an audio/video feed or person on a podium).

*Once a lot opens, there will be a 20 second countdown.

*If a bid is placed during this countdown, the timer is reset to 20 seconds. Each live bid resets the timer!

*Once the countdown runs out, the lot will be sold, and the next lot will come up with the same settings.

It's up to you--the bidders--to keep the action going! But we'll be watching and cheering you on!
