Not cancelled. Safety & Dispatch vignette. Folds, toning. 2) Merchants Union Express Company, 1867. This arose as a direct competitor to American Express. Issued to JC Kellogg. Signed by Knapp and Ross. Stamp cancelled. 5 cent adhesive revenue stamp, stagecoach vignette. 3) American Merchants Union Express Company, 1868. Signed by William Fargo as president, Knapp as secretary, and Ross as treasurer. Punch hole cancelled. 5 cent revenue stamp at top right. Shipping vignette. This was the consolidation of the two companies. Rare group to be sold together!
