Stratton's Independence Mines Ephemera Lot of 6 items, all revolving around W.S. Stratton and his investments.

Winfield Scott Stratton (1848- 1902) discovered the Independence Lode near Victor, Colorado in July, 1891and claimed the Independence Mine, that made him the first millionaire in the Cripple Creek Mining District, 1894.

Includes 3 postcards, 1 photograph, 1 time check with a pictures of Stratton and 1 Stock Certificate from Stratton's Independence Limited.

The 3 postcards are from 2 Cripple Creek Mines, between 1906 and 1908, that were both owned or partially owned by W.S. Stratton. The Independence Mine & Mill, was owned by Stratton's Independence Limited, which was incorporated in England, one of the greatest producers of the district. 2 postcards have the same picture, but were printed in different countries ( 1x Germany, 1x America). It shows the Portland and Independence Mines, which again, the Independence mine was owned by Stratton.
